The OrthoPawdic© Donut Dog Bed combines a medically supportive mattress with a cosy viscofleece edge. In contrast to conventional cushion beds, the centrepiece - a flat, multi-layer mattress made of high-density 45D memory foam and supportive comfort foam - provides real orthopaedic relief for the spine and joints. Your dog lies evenly, stably and regeneratively - particularly important for osteoarthritis, HD or in old age.

The wide edge is filled with 100% viscofibre and invites you to lean back and snuggle up. The flakes come from offcuts from our mattress production and are sustainably reused by us. They are made of orthopaedic material, but are not suitable as a load-bearing surface. That is why we deliberately use a stable mattress in the centre - that is the difference to conventional donut beds with pure filling.

The cover made from OEKO-TEX certified RePET teddy fabric is soft, robust and water-repellent. Thanks to the integrated dirt and moisture protection, which is usually available separately from other manufacturers, the mattress inside remains hygienically protected. The entire cover can be removed using high-quality YKK zips and washed at 30 °C.

Place the OrthoPawdic® Donut Dog Bed in a quiet, draft-free spot your dog already knows as a place to retreat — for example in the living room, bedroom, or their favorite corner. The round shape with a raised edge invites your dog to curl up and provides a feeling of safety, while the flat mattress in the center supports a healthy lying position.

The bed is ideal for dogs who like to sleep curled up or with their head elevated. The soft yet supportive edge relieves the neck muscles, while the mattress provides lasting support for the joints and spine.

Thanks to its water- and dirt-repellent properties, the bed is also suitable for puppies, senior dogs, or dogs recovering after surgery. For better hygiene, you can regularly air out the inner cushion and machine-wash the cover when needed.

How to keep the OrthoPawdic® bed looking like new for longer The OrthoPawdic® Donut Dog Bed was designed to be easy to care for in everyday use – even with active dogs, puppies, or senior dogs. Cleaning the cover: The cover can be removed using a durable YKK zipper and machine-washed at 30 °C. Please do not use a tumble dryer, as this may shorten the lifespan of the material. Air drying is best. Quick cleaning in between: Thanks to the water- and dirt-repellent coating, small stains can be removed easily with a damp cloth – without harsh cleaning agents. Caring for the interior: The mattress and inner cushion should be aired out regularly to reduce moisture and maintain freshness. The filling does not need to be washed. Maintaining protection: The included dirt and moisture protector reliably protects the mattress from liquids and soiling and should also be cleaned when needed. 🐾 Our tip: A regular care routine not only supports hygiene but also helps preserve the bed’s ergonomic effect for many years.

At Vitomalia, we want you to know exactly when and how your Dog Bed will arrive. All orders are carefully packaged and reliably shipped. Our Dog Beds are vacuum-packed to protect them from damage during transport and to save space during delivery. Once opened, the bed will fully expand within a few hours.

• Free shipping on orders over $99 in Zone 1
• For all other zones, the regular shipping costs as stated at checkout apply.
  

Shipping process:
Orders received Monday–Friday before 12:00 p.m. are usually shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00 p.m. are processed the following business day. Pre-orders and unpaid orders are excluded from this timeframe.

Shipping from multiple warehouses:
We ship from fulfillment centers in Germany and Poland. If your order is split into multiple packages for logistical reasons, we will only charge shipping costs once per order.

Shipping to Switzerland:
We are a Swiss company, but our warehouses are located in the EU. Shipping to Switzerland is considered an import. Additional costs may apply, such as Swiss VAT (8.1%) and processing fees charged by customs or the shipping service provider. These costs are borne by the recipient.

return shipment

You can return your Dog Bed within 30 days of receipt. To ensure a smooth process, you must register your return in advance via our returns portal. This allows us to check whether the product meets the return criteria and then provide you with all the necessary information for the return shipment.

Return criteria:

• The bed must be in its original condition.
• All labels and barcodes must remain on the product.
• Covers and inner cushions must be packed separately, as they are considered separate products. If they are packed together, this may result in incorrect refunds.
• Heavily soiled, damaged, or incomplete products cannot be returned.
  

You are responsible for the return shipping costs. As this is a bulky product, the costs may be higher than for smaller items, depending on the size and shipping provider.

Every return means additional transport, packaging, and CO₂ emissions. We therefore encourage you to consult us in advance if you are unsure about size or product selection. This way, we can work together to ensure that you get the right bed for your dog from the start.
