The OrthoPawdic© Donut Dog Bed combines a medically supportive mattress with a cosy viscofleece edge. In contrast to conventional cushion beds, the centrepiece - a flat, multi-layer mattress made of high-density 45D memory foam and supportive comfort foam - provides real orthopaedic relief for the spine and joints. Your dog lies evenly, stably and regeneratively - particularly important for osteoarthritis, HD or in old age.

The wide edge is filled with 100% viscofibre and invites you to lean back and snuggle up. The flakes come from offcuts from our mattress production and are sustainably reused by us. They are made of orthopaedic material, but are not suitable as a load-bearing surface. That is why we deliberately use a stable mattress in the centre - that is the difference to conventional donut beds with pure filling.

The cover made from OEKO-TEX certified RePET teddy fabric is soft, robust and water-repellent. Thanks to the integrated dirt and moisture protection, which is usually available separately from other manufacturers, the mattress inside remains hygienically protected. The entire cover can be removed using high-quality YKK zips and washed at 30 °C.

How your dog gets the best use out of the OrthoPawdic® donut dog bed
Place the OrthoPawdic® Donut Dog Bed in a quiet, draft-free spot that your dog already knows as a place to retreat – for example in the living room, bedroom, or their favourite corner. The round shape with a raised edge invites your dog to curl up and provides a sense of safety, while the flat mattress in the centre supports a healthy lying position.

The bed is ideal for dogs who like to lie curled up or with their head slightly elevated. The soft yet supportive edge helps relieve the neck muscles, while the mattress provides lasting support for the joints and spine.

Thanks to its water- and dirt-repellent properties, the bed is also suitable for puppies, senior dogs, or dogs recovering after surgery. For better hygiene, you can air out the inner cushion regularly and machine-wash the cover when needed.

How to keep the OrthoPawdic® bed looking like new for longer
The OrthoPawdic® Donut Dog Bed was designed to be easy to care for in everyday use – even with active dogs, puppies, or seniors.

Cleaning the cover:
The cover can be removed via a durable YKK zipper and machine-washed at 30 °C. Please do not use a dryer, as this may shorten the lifespan of the material. Air drying is best.

Quick cleaning in between:
Thanks to the water- and dirt-repellent coating, small stains can be removed easily with a damp cloth – without any harsh cleaning agents.

Caring for the interior:
The mattress and the inner cushion should be aired out regularly to reduce moisture and keep them fresh. The filling does not need to be washed.

Maintaining protection:
The included dirt and moisture protector reliably protects the mattress from liquids and soiling and should also be cleaned when needed.

What distinguishes the OrthoPawdic® donut dog bed from other donut dog beds?

The mattress at the center makes the difference.
While many donut beds are filled only with stuffing material or visco flakes, your dog rests on a flat, stable orthopedic mattress made from high-density memory and comfort foam with OrthoPawdic®. This is the only way body weight is distributed evenly and the joints and spine are truly relieved.

Why does the bolster contain memory foam flakes, and is that beneficial?

Yes – as a supplement to the mattress.
The raised edge is intentionally filled with 100% shredded visco foam made from offcuts from our mattress production. It adapts softly, is ideal as a headrest, and provides a sense of security. For the lying surface, however, we use a firm mattress – because shredded visco foam alone is not enough to provide an orthopedic effect.

Is the dirt and moisture protection included, or do I need to buy it separately?

With us, it is always included.
Every OrthoPawdic® donut dog bed comes standard with integrated dirt and moisture protection inside. This keeps the mattress reliably protected from moisture, urine, or dirt – with no extra cost or additional accessories.

How do shipping and return shipping work?

The orthopedic Dog Bed is vacuum-packed and shipped in a space-saving format. This ensures that it arrives well protected. After opening, the bed fully expands within a few hours and is ready to use straight away.

30-day trial sleep
We want you and your dog to make the right decision. That’s why you can test the bed at home for 30 days without rushing. If it is not the right fit during this time, you can return it without any difficulty.

Return shipping
For return shipping, it is important that the bed is sent back to us in its original condition. All labels and barcodes must still be attached to the product, as otherwise we cannot book the bed back into our warehouse. The cover and the bed must be packed separately, each in its own packaging. In addition, the bed must be vacuum-packed again for return shipping. A suitable vacuum bag is included with the product. This is the only way we can process the return safely and hygienically.

Costs and conditions
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. As this is a large product, shipping costs may be higher than for smaller items, depending on the size and the shipping provider you choose. The bed must be returned in a clean, undamaged and complete condition. Heavily soiled or damaged products are excluded from reimbursement. The same conditions as for return shipping also apply in the event of an exchange.

Can I wash the cover or order a replacement?

Yes – the cover is removable and machine-washable.
Durable YKK zippers make it easy to remove the cover and wash it at 30 °C (please air-dry). In the future, we’ll offer additional fabrics and colors as replacement covers – so the bed always suits your style and stays hygienically fresh.
